The right went absolutely giddy over the Nashville Christian school shooting. It fulfilled two important obsessions of theirs, the shooter embodied their bête noire du jour, transgenderism, and, for a change, the shooter was not one of theirs, a "straight" white male. Following the shooting the right started inundating Twitter with the hash tag #TransTerrorism. The New York Post's cover headline of the shooting clearly illustrates these obsessions, that the shooter was transgender, and was not one of "them"... and the cover was also the inspiration for the following piece illustrating some of the more infamous right-wing terrorist attacks of the past decade...
Tucker Carlson on transgender shooter: Yesterday’s massacre did not happen because of lax gun laws. Yesterday’s massacre happened because of a deranged and demonic ideology that is infecting this country
Right-wing podcast host Liz Wheeler: This is what Queer Theory was intended to do: create a new vanguard of supposedly ‘oppressed’ LGBTQ people to stage a neo-Marxist revolution against the cishetereopatriarchal Christian ‘oppressors.’ Trans grooming is working.
Newsmax host Greg Kelly: Looking at the data, looking at recent history, it would seem that transgender is potentially more of a threat if applied recklessly than, say, white supremacy, OK? We have actual documented episodes where we don't have them from white supremacists over the past recent history.
The Federalist CEO Sean Davis: The trans cult is the most deadly and dangerous violent terrorist group in America per capita, and it’s not even close.
The Daily Wire’s Candace Owens: When you play Frankenstein with people’s body’s parts, you can’t be surprised when they behave like monsters. A person willing to execute violence upon his/her own body will not hesitate to impart violence onto someone else’s.
Charlie Kirk The Charlie Kirk Show: [Trans] activists are becoming trans jihadists in the name of this lie of a quote-unquote trans genocide. People think they’re on kind of a holy crusade. There’s a lot of violent fantasies, unfortunately, among the trans radicals, a violent undercurrent that tragically manifested in three dead kids and three dead teachers yesterday.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene tweet: How much hormones like testosterone and medications for mental illness was the transgender Nashville school shooter taking? Everyone can stop blaming guns now.
All this freakout and hyperventilation over an estimated population of 1.6 million, that's about 0.48% of the total population of the United States. The right's obsession with transgenderism started after same-sex marriage became legal and eventually acceptable. They needed a replacement issue “We knew we needed to find an issue that the candidates were comfortable talking about. And we threw everything at the wall.” Terry Schilling, president of American Principles Project. What eventually stuck was the issue of gender identity, transgender identity.

Right Wing Terrorism
A crucial factor of all these right-wing terrorist attacks that has not being addressed by the media, liberal or otherwise, or by politicians, is the anti-leftist foundation behind the attacks. Most all of the terrorists’ “manifestos”, from Christchurch to El Paso to Buffalo cite Anders Behring Breivik as an inspiration for their attack. Breivik is the Norwegian anti-leftist, anti-immigrant, anti-feminist terrorist who massacred 77 of his white Norwegian countryman at a Workers’ Youth League summer camp in 2011. So, why did he kill 77 white, mostly teenage, Norwegians… because they were socialists, he targeted white teenage socialists. This is not meant to ignore or belittle the racial, ethnic, and antisemitic motivation of the Buffalo, Christchurch, El Paso, and Tree of Life synagogue terrorists but it is easier and less complicated for the media to portray these right-wing terrorist attacks as racially or ethnically motivated then to try and explain, or deal with, the more complex foundational anti-leftist motivation behind the attacks.
AG William Barr Notre Dame Oct. 11 2019: All Liberals are secularist radicals.
Marjorie Taylor Greene twitter: I fully condemn ALL violence. The Antifa/BLM terrorism funded on ActBlue rests with Democrat[sic] accomplices like @CoriBush @Ilhan @KamalaHarris @AOC @timkaine & many more... Those who stoke insurrection & spread conspiracies have blood on their hands. They must be expelled.
Couy Griffin (R), Otero County Commissioner, Cowboys for Trump Facebook page, May 20, 2020: I’ve come to a place where I’ve come to the conclusion that the only good Democrat is a dead Democrat.
Police Chief Lang Holland of Marshall, Ark., Parler, Nov. 6, 2020: Will you and several hundred more go with me to D.C. and fight our way into the Congress and arrest every Democrat who has participated in this coup? We may have to shoot and kill many of the Communist B.L.M. and ANTIFA Democrat[sic] foot soldiers to accomplish this!!! Death to all Marxist Democrats. Take no prisoners leave no survivors!!
Tom Cotton CPAC 2-26-21: These radical liberals, they want to erase our history. They want to replace it with their crazy Marxist theories.
Republicons have a particular, and utter, hatred of Democrats, of the left, they view them as evil devils, as godless Marxist, as pedophile 'groomers' coming to transsexualize your children, coming to indoctrinate and convert "your" children to communism and to satanism, and over the years have targeted specific Democrats with threats of violence. In March of 2010 Sarah Palin's SarahPAC posted this image featuring a map of 20 targeted Democratic electoral districts on its Facebook page with the text...
With the president signing this unwanted and “transformative” government takeover of our health care system today with promises impossible to keep, let’s not get discouraged. Don’t get demoralized. Get organized! Take Back the 20!

We’ll aim for these races and many others. This is just the first salvo in a fight to elect people across the nation who will bring common sense to Washington. [emphasis mine]
After some pushback and negative press about the "crosshair" symbols Palin's surrogates, with the help of Fox News and Glenn Beck, frantically tried to clean things up by claiming that they were "surveyor’s symbols", although Palin herself in a tweet called them "bull's eyes". Then in January of 2011, at a campaign event outside Tucson, Arizona, Jared Lee Loughner attempted to assassinate one of those Democrats marked with a "bull's eye", Representative Gabby Giffords. And then days after the shooting Palin posted a video accusing "journalists and pundits" of manufacturing a "blood libel" against her — one has to wonder if Palin even knew what the term meant or if she was aware that Giffords is Jewish, she isn't the most learned person around, but she is the contemporary progenitor of Donald Trump. The crowds of Tea Partiers who filled her rallies in '08 morphed into the crowds who fill the Trump rallies of today. The crowds that chant "Lock her up" at a Trump rally are the same crowds that cheered Palin's “Don’t retreat. Reload.” mantra. At a Palin rally in Alabama in '08 she posed a question to the crowd of what is to be done with Obama, of him "palling around with terrorists", the answer shouted back by some guy in the crowd was "Shoot him!"
“Hate America leftists want to take this country down” states Marjorie Taylor Greene's Facebook post announcing her candidacy for Congress which featured an image of her holding an assault rifle pointed at Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib.

A note about the individual images of the "Squad" women. This strategy of using unflattering images of women, of them looking angry and threatening I first encountered during Gamergate. Another common meme employed by the gynophobic gamerboys of Gamergate was the "hippie" girl, the flighty airhead "hippie" girl, like Jenny in Forrest Gump who, even though she eventually sees the error of her ways and repents, she ultimately pays the price of her unwholesome un-American ways.
Not to simply be satisfied with the threat of bodily harm Greene further threatens the women of the Squad by stating that “We need strong conservative Christians to go on the offense against these socialists who want to rip our country apart.” and then by issuing a warning that she will be their "worst nightmare".
The right's utter hatred of and hostility towards the left is not limited to mass shootings and threats to Democratic politicians. There have been numerous incidents of right-wing vigilantes targeting left-wing protesters. From Kyle Rittenhouse and Daniel Perry shootings of white Black Lives Matter protesters to the St. Louis McCloskey's brandishing guns and threatening BLM protesters from their front lawn to motorists plowing into crowds of left-wing protesters under the banner of “Run Them Down”, a popular anti-BLM catchphrase, and “All Lives Splatter” first uttered by the president of the police union in Santa Fe, NM, Troy Baker.

Real Americans
"This is our country not theirs. We are the real Americans" stated a Trump 2020 campaign newsletter [the underline is how it appeared in the newsletter]. The same sentiment was echoed by the Tea Party after the election of Obama with the refrain "We want our country back", i.e. a country without an 'illegitimate', Kenyan born, Black president. After Clinton was elected president some Reagan apparatchik claimed that Clinton was an illegitimate president because "the presidency belongs to us", namely, to us Republicans. "They" believe this is their country, that they are the "real Americans", therefore they are entitled to control it. This is their justification, their rationale for...
- gerrymandering:
- I think electing Republicans is better than electing Democrats. So I drew this map to help foster what I think is better for the country. -North Carolina Rep. David Lewis, who oversaw the drawing of the state’s gerrymandered maps
- voter supression laws:
- If you took Madison and Milwaukee out of the state election formula we would have a clear majority, we would have all five constitutional officers and we would probably have many more seats in the Legislature. -Robin Vos, Republican Speaker of Wisconsin Statehouse
- election denialism:
- God Bless President Trump. Real America knows this is all a sham. -Jim Jordan (R-Ohio)
